KAMILA VALIEVA WILL PERFORM IN THE FINAL OF THE MOSCOW SPORT FIGURE SKATING CUP

Olympic and European Champion Kamila Valieva will perform an exhibition dance as part of the Final of the Moscow Sport Figure Skating Cup, which will be held on April 23 at the Luzhniki Small Sports Arena. The figure skater told about this during a VK call with one of the winners of the competition, which was organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Moscow and the VK company.

"It's great that I have the opportunity to perform at the Moscow Sport Figure Skating Cup once again, especially in the Final, which promises to be grandiose! – Kamila Valieva said. – An exhibition performance within the Cup is both a good opportunity to polish elements in conditions close to the competitive ones, and an additional motivation – this is because my skate will be watched by young figure skaters for whom I might become an example. I managed to watch how they competed during the 4th stage, at which I performed, and I can say that they really have promising future."

The Moscow Sport Figure Skating Cup is a team youth competition among skaters aged 6 to 12. The competitions are held among the teams of the I and II junior categories, as well as among the I and II categories in men and ladies single skating, free program.

The participants of the Cup are divided into two subgroups – in the first group public schools and divisions of the Figure Skating Academy compete, as well as schools of CSKA, "Plushenko’s Angels" Academy of Figure Skating, SC "Army of Figure Skating", while in the second – commercial organizations. The Tournament consists of six stages and a Super Final, which will be held on April 23, 2023 at the Small Sports Arena of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. Five stage winners and two teams with the highest score after the free program from the first subgroup and four teams with the highest score from the second will get to the Final.
